COMMUNICATIONS & OUTREACH COORDINATOR (Part time)

Reports To: Executive Director

Hours: 15–20 hours per week flexible schedule, with occasional nights or weekend events

Pay Range: $18–$22/hour, depending on experience

About MEAC:
Madisonville Education and Assistance Center provides crisis intervention
services, food access, financial assistance, and early education support to our neighbors in Madisonville and the surrounding communities.

Job Purpose:
The Communications & Outreach Coordinator manages MEAC’s external communications, social media and digital sites, and community engagement efforts to promote programs, increase visibility, and foster donor and volunteer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update MEAC’s website and social media channels

  • Develop and distribute monthly newsletters and event promotions

  • Design flyers, graphics, and outreach materials

  • Collaborate with staff to highlight impact stories and program outcomes

  • Maintain consistent messaging and branding across platforms

  • Assist with event planning and community engagement efforts

  • Support donor communications and acknowledgments in collaboration with the Operations Specialist


Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, editing, and design skills

  • Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, Microsoft Suite,

  • Familiarity with social media strategy (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

  • Highly organized with strong communication skills

  • Passion for nonprofit mission and community-centered work
