Emergency Financial Assistance

MEAC offers qualifying neighbors assistance with payment of utility bills, rent, or mortgage, requests for birth certificates, and referrals for other important documents.

To qualify for assistance:

  • You must live within our service area (the 45226, 45227, 45208, and 45209 zip codes), and be able to show proof of residence.

  • You may not have received assistance from MEAC in the last 6 months.

To request assistance, eligible neighbors can call the EFA hotline when funds are available and the hotline is open.

  • When the hotline is open, you will hear a prompt to leave a request on our main line (513.271.5501). If you do not hear an option to leave a request, the hotline is not open.

  • Messages received before the hotline is open or after it is closed will not be returned.

  • When calling, please leave a message with your name, a call back number, and a brief description of why you’re calling. Calls without messages will not be returned.

  • Please leave only one message.

Please continue to seek assistance from other resources in our area even after you leave a message. To view more resources, click here.

To request a birth certificate, you do not have to wait until the hotline is open.
Call (513) 513-271-5501 and choose option 2 to leave a message, or use the form below to send an email.

Please note: Sending an email through our website does not guarantee financial assistance. If you would like to be considered for financial assistance, please call the Hotline when it is open.
