Emergency Financial Assistance
MEAC offers qualifying neighbors assistance with payment of utility bills, rent, or mortgage, requests for birth certificates, and referrals for other important documents.
To qualify for assistance:
You must live within our service area (the 45226, 45227, 45208, and 45209 zip codes), and be able to show proof of residence.
You may not have received assistance from MEAC in the last 6 months.
To request assistance, eligible neighbors can call the EFA hotline when funds are available and the hotline is open.
When the hotline is open, you will hear a prompt to leave a request on our main line (513.271.5501). If you do not hear an option to leave a request, the hotline is not open.
Messages received before the hotline is open or after it is closed will not be returned.
When calling, please leave a message with your name, a call back number, and a brief description of why you’re calling. Calls without messages will not be returned.
Please leave only one message.
Please continue to seek assistance from other resources in our area even after you leave a message. To view more resources, click here.
To request a birth certificate, you do not have to wait until the hotline is open.
Call (513) 513-271-5501 and choose option 2 to leave a message, or use the form below to send an email.
Please note: Sending an email through our website does not guarantee financial assistance. If you would like to be considered for financial assistance, please call the Hotline when it is open.
