SHOPPING THE MARKETPLACE

Neighbors in our service area (45208, 45209, 45226, and 45227 zip codes) can shop once a month for fresh, frozen, and packaged foods, as well as personal care products.

To shop, please bring:

  • A photo ID

  • An official document that includes your address from within the last 30 days

Please enter through the glass doors at the front of the Eastminster Church building and check in inside of McCord Hall.

WHAT IS THE MEAC MARKETPLACE?

The MEAC Marketplace is a choice food pantry in which our neighbors shop for what their families need instead of being given a pre-packaged box or bag of groceries. We have set up the MEAC Marketplace like a grocery store where our neighbors are treated with respect and afforded the dignity of choice.

During the ongoing pandemic, we continue to adapt and adjust to keep our neighbors, staff, and volunteers as safe as possible. In April of 2020, we began distributing fresh and shelf-stable foods outside of Eastminster Presbyterian Church twice per month in a drive through.
In May of 2022, we welcomed our neighbors back into the building to choose their items and have their orders packed, similar to a commonly-used grocery store pickup service.
